Get on Hwy 34 going North. Hwy 34 is the main road that goes North to San Jose or South to Manuel Antonio.
You will pass a busy intersection with a big supermarket on the left called Auto Mercado. Unless you are leaving from Herradura Beach (Los Sueños) then the Auto Mercado supermarket will be on your right as you reach the intersection where you make a left on Hwy 34.
Stay on the highway and you will start to climb a hill, at the top of the hill you will pass an entrance to Villa Caletas. (famous for sunset drinks) Continue to the bottom of the hill and you will pass an entrance to a resort called Punta Leona.
Drive pass that entrance about 500 yards and you will cross a small highway bridge, it does not go up or down, it just crosses a little creek. Immediately after the bridge there is an official hwy sign that says PLAYA AGUJAS and a KAYAK JACO sign on your right. You will make an immediate left after the bridge onto a dirt road. (if you see a gas station named Costa Verde turn around and and go back) Drive down the dirt road about a mile and Kayak Jaco will be on your right. If you hit the ocean backtrack 200 yards.
From all points North including San Jose and Hotel Doubletree Puntarenas

Take hwy 27 (Caldera Hwy) to the Jaco exit and head south on Hwy 34. Look for signs to Jaco.
From SJO this will be about 300 meters after the Orotina toll booth. From Puntarenas pay attention because there is a right hand exit that says Jaco before you get to the Orotina toll booth. There is a toll on the exit ramp.
Stay on Hwy 34, you will cross the Tarcoles River bridge, usually there are people looking over the side at crocodiles, then you will pass Carara National Park, then you get your first view of the ocean (actually the Gulf of Nicoya.)
The water should be on your right hand side if you are going in the right direction. Then you pass the “Costa Verde” gas station.
About 1.5 miles after that, you will make a right onto a dirt road just before a small highway bridge.
There is a sign for KAYAK JACO on the right. There are 2 supermarkets on the left.
“Super Daniella” and “Super Kamelyn”. The name of the town on the left is Quebrada Ganado.
Take the dirt road about a mile and you will find KAYAK JACO on your right. If you hit the ocean backtrack 200 yards.
