The
2008 Bulo-Daystar race
Held
May 3rd of 2008 the Bulo-Daystar outrigger canoe race was huge
success. This was our 6th year for the race and the quality of competition just
keeps getting better.
Our

Rec division start
Results
for the recreational division were
-
32 min, The Green Team
-
33 min, for Speed( Golden Roads Transportation)
-
35 min, Team Roxy who also
won 1st for the women’s division

In the
pro division there was the long awaited rematch after last years heat had to
split into 2 groups. The match between
Kayak Jaco ( Los Calambritos) (older team) and the
young guns of Los Rapidos del Pacifico. The results speak forthemselves.

Next year’s event for the first weekend of May
looks like a done deal after immediate talks with Daystar.
It
will take on a whole new look and be run in the waters off Jacó. This will be a major happening. There
is also the possibility of a
Gulf
of
Nicoya Crossing
race
in October.
